Wake: Up to Poetry
Embracing the Digital Age
Sure, we’re situated in a bomb shelter. Sure, we only publish a specific, small sector of the literary market. Sure, we focus on Irish poetry.
But that doesn’t mean that we’re immune the the new age of digital publication.
We’re in the process of sifting through the mounds of new information on the rapidly-approaching digital age (for big and small publishers alike), and we’re prepping to adjust as necessary. It’s all about creating an aesthetic proportion between print and digital . . . and everything in between (including the whole new world of visual videography as a source of legitimate information).
Check out this video. It’s from the Tools of Change publishing conference this past week in New York, and it really confronts and tackles the “what’s next?” question of where publishing goes from here while it’s at the split between print and digital.
We’re all about the cloud. And we’ll do what it takes to maintain our little niche — be it in the publishing world, the poetry world, or just our little Interns’ Corner.
