Wake: Up to Poetry

"The act of poetry is a rebel act."

Interns’ Corner

It’s that Friday.  The last Friday of the school year, the last Friday before finals, the last Friday of the semester for some.  Winter break is just around the corner and us interns are already looking forward to a month free of work. What will we be doing with all the free time? Reading of course! Here’s what a couple of us interns have waiting to be read in t-7 days:

Maura: I’m looking forward to finally having time to read The Hunger Games, before the movie comes out.  I also fully intend on stealing back all the Irish poetry I give for presents.

Elizabeth: I’ve been waiting to read The Help and am also hoping to get some new books for Christmas.

Gigi: For Christmas I asked for the annotated manuscript for T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land.  I also plan on giving my brother Brendan Kennelly’s new book, The Essential Brendan Kennelly: Selected Poems.

If you guys are looking for any new literature be sure to check out our website: http://www.wfu.edu/wfupress.

Happy reading!
