Wake Up to Poetry! – Saturday, April 6th
May we have your attention, Winston-Salem? The Wake Up to Poetry! event is finally drawing near. This Saturday, April 6th, at 5:30 the WFU Press is hosting a celebration of poetry at the Community Arts Café on Fourth St., downtown.
The three winners of the contest, Bailey Pittenger, Mackenzie Connollee, and Jessica Whitehair, will be reading their winning poems at the event. The contest’s judges will also be reading some of their own poems. The Belfast Boys will be providing musical entertainment, and the floor will be open for any other musicians who would like to bring their instruments and join the band for an open music session.
